Call came in from a 1930s Pueblo Revival house off Curtiss Parkway — a galvanized supply line let go inside a plaster wall with nobody home. Hours of water into terrazzo before anyone noticed. That's the usual story across the canal: old plumbing that's run out of years, and water traveling sideways under the floor.
The other repeat offender is retrofit windows. Lots of homes here swapped glass for the jet noise off the airport's north perimeter, and some got flashed badly — rain enters at the head and stains a wall nowhere near the opening. Low blocks by the golf course pond take on storm water too.

Worth watching. Cast iron that old cracks from the inside, and the first sign is usually a slow backup or a damp slab edge, not an obvious leak.
