A cast iron drain line that finally gave up under a slab off SW 56th Ave — that's a call we take a lot up here. The CBS houses through Carver Ranches and Lake Forest went up in the fifties and sixties, and a good number still run their original iron waste and galvanized supply. Iron rots from the inside. Galvanized pinholes behind a wall and soaks the block for weeks before anybody notices the paint bubbling.
Then there's the rain. Drainage on the side streets here never got the upgrades the bigger cities got, so water stands, and June 2024 proved how fast that becomes an interior problem. We run extraction, dry the structure with meters instead of guesswork, and handle mold when it's already started. From Hialeah it's about 15-20 minutes down I-95 or the Turnpike, which matters at 2am.
